This mountain range is carved out of a fantastic piece of Brazilian soapstone. I particularly like the range of colour from light green to hints of rusty brown. Although not captured well in the photo, there is a lot of movement in the front stone as you move the piece in the light. The moon is carved from alabaster, giving it its translucent quality. One of the photos shows how the moon is lit up by the sun, another has a small light behind the moon, giving it a warm glow. This piece measures approximately L 5.25” W 3.25” H 5 3/4”.
